What type of mic was used in the isolation booths on the 1950s version of Twenty One, as seen below?

That top capsule part has me thinking Altec. [see the M11 handheld (http://\"http://k-bay106.com/altecm11.jpg\"), as used by Bud Collyer] Possibly part of the 21B or C system, as per the other photos I found on that site. Not sure at all, though.

The "golf tee" at the top is certainly a clue. Here is a closer view, but it is of the (presumed) replica used in Redford's movie:

One would think it verboten to use non-RCA mics at 30 Rock, but a 77D wouldn't look right obscuring half of Herb Stempel's face.

The mics on Twenty One may well have been custom jobs.

Supposedly the 21B and 21C are the capsules.
