On one episode, there was a contestant who was about to lose his game (and he probably knew it). In his final question, he gave an answer so offensive that it was bleeped. Michael Berger and the celebrities appeared to be shaken up; I remember Vicki Lawrence frowning throughout the rest of the round.
Does anyone remember the episode, the question and, perhaps the bleeped out answer?

I've tried to block out every memory of MG98.

Didn't that happen on every episode?

Only a few contestants gave answers that were bleeped, and it happened with FAR less frequency than with the celebs.
I can't imagine anyone would just "give up" and give an answer none of the celebs would possibly say. In the second round, points were doubled, and the questions were far easier to get a match from all 5 stars, especially towards the end of the run.
My guess is, the contestant thought the stars would go very "blue" for this question, so he gave that sort of answer. Was there a previous question where celeb's answers were censored? That might've influenced him too.

As I recall, it appeared that the contestant knew he was going to lose, so he went for the most offensive answer. Michael Berger, Vicki Lawrence and the others looked like they were quite upset by his answer. I may have not remembered this if it were just one of them, but the demeanor of the whole panel changed in a moment.

Yeah, I have pretty much blocked MG '98 also. Micheal Burger should be given another game show hosting chance, IMHO.
