Perhaps I'm crazy, but does anybody else notice that the GSN Live bits without Fred Roggin (since he's been in Beijing) have a little better flow to them?
Maybe it's my lack of liking Fred that says that- actually, I don't mind him, but I just don't see how the segments work with him there. I think that the sub hosts have done a decent job in his place (yes, even Ty Treadway)...maybe they don't need him.
/it's just one of those things that I can't help but express, even though I probably shouldn't have

My question is how can his last name rhyme with Hogan? Shouldn't one of the g's be dropped to insure proper pronunciation?

But in that case wouldn't you also run into the potential "Roe-jin" pronunciation?
-
Possibly. Lucky for us, he's too old to get a hosting gig on Noggin. Or would that be Nogin?
-
Well, you can ask the Lingo man next week, Chucky is the next guest host. I'd presume all week....Fred probably needs a few days to recover from the jet lag and time zone change before coming back to the show. I bet he shows up on 9/1 for the big car drawing though.

So he can do a bit on his local news show called Roggin's Heroes, that's how.

Or a nationally syndicated series based on the local news show bit.
/What? He did.

Anything that once had Fred Roggin and replaces him with anyone or anything else improves by definition.
--Mike, who is very fortunate he is not a fan of boxing

Because, as we all know, "GSN Live" is a game of definitions...
-
I'm not paying attention when Fred's talking anyhow.
I watch those interstials for Heidi Bohay.
20 years after Hotel and she continues to look mighty fine.
-
GSN has ran an ad today that announced the expansion of GSN Live which starts on September 15th. Fred will host the next three hours with Kelly Packard.
6 hours of GSN Live along with The Rich List. This network is slowly turning into the Roggin network. Scary.
-
It could always be worse. You could have Mati Moralejo doing the interrestials...
-
Nope, as mentioned in another thread, Alfonso and Heidi are hosting the first three hours. Quite frankly, Alfonso is a entity to keep an eye on for the next few years. He's no Bob Barker, but he could quickly reach the same status as Todd Newton with a little polishing, I'm sure.

Exactly. Alfonso on GSN Live is about as relevant as me doing pledge breaks on WKAR.

I'm booked, so if you could keep an eye on him for me, I'd be most grateful.
Stacey Hayes was too busy teaching people English, I presume.

Ah, yes, used to co-host pledge breaks myself back in the day.
But, alas, those appear to be times past.
I guess you can only say, "Look at the board now as we all play Jeopardy!" so many times before people start wondering about you.
It's not as though the camera was on.
