I'm guessing that when Beat the Clock was cancelled in 1974 that it was the last game show to use live organ music. Right or Wrong?

Ivan Ditmars' live music on LMAD was primarily organ. If you mean just organ, then as far as I know, BTC was last.

Arthur B. Rubenstein used either a Rhodes piano or some kind of synth on ANBTC, FWIW. This was in 1979 so you can determine the landscape for synth technology at the time.

The "Wheel of Fortune" and "Hollywood Squares" remotes from Radio City Music Hall took advantage of the hall's massive organ.

And there is no better sound than one of a Rhodes piano. Well... except for a Wurlitzer electric piano.
My 2 Lincolns.

I still think the Rhodes piano is the "mystery instrument" in the first Tattletales package, the instrument someone thought was a marimba.

I'd agree. I washed one of the cues through Adobe Audition and cleaned it up pretty good... and it's pretty clear it's a Fender/Rhodes piano.
If I can figure out a way to post a link without it being a direct one... I will.

Boy, if I had a nickel every time I heard THAT...

Hmm...eight posts before an organ joke. We're slipping, folks.

Only because I held back. Since the line's been crossed, ...
Actually, it was Joanna Gleason's mom who "took advantage of the hall's massive organ."

To return to the topic (ahem)...
"T or C" was the last game show with live organ music over "BTC" by a hair. Hal Hidey had replaced Dave Bacal halfway through the 1973-74 season and stayed on for the last Barker season in 1974-75.

Speaking of Joanna Gleason, did anyone notice that she's in the "Sex and the City" movie? Still impressive at age 58...
