This line got a chuckle from me...

Potential categories include sweatpants/athletic pants, jerseys, jackets, windshirts, shorts, hats, underwear...

Can we get all of the "Come on Down!", "Coming or Going?", "All of it higher!", and "Press Your Luck" jokes done with right now?

/As long as they don't go for the Doug Davidson-inspired "Push the leever on the geezmo" line...
//or "Is it bigger than a breadbox?"

There could be a line of Chris Clementson-themed underwear--"Switch?", "I put the ASS in Password Plus", and "I'm a Mindreader--you're looking at my sack."

It's been nice knowing you all.  I'll try to enjoy my time in isolation after Chris sees this.

If Steve and Barry's files for bankruptcy (http://\"http://online.wsj.com/article/SB121444909622806127.html?mod=googlenews_wsj\"), does that mean we won't be seeing this apparel?

I wouldn't worry too much, seeing they hired the restructuring firm that 'helped' Linens 'n Things and Sharper Image.

Um...wouldn't that be a reason TO worry, especially in the latter case?

Sorry, that was meant to be a tongue in cheek comment. That's why I stressed how they 'helped' other companies. And on the Steve and Barrys topic, does anyone else think the stores are way too large for their inventory? In our area they've taken many closed discount store fronts(old Venture & Shopko mostly) mainly in malls. Unless they negotiated a major deal w/ the mall, the rent must be outrageous. This is kept on game show topic since Bob Goen hosted Born Lucky in a mall. Hey, it's the best I could do!!

[/quote]The nearest store to me is in Cedar Rapids.  They leased a good majority of a former Montgomery Ward store; both levels.  Everything is spread out and to have escalators running seems to be a waste.

This news doesn't disappoint me too much; I no longer frequent their stores due to a poor experience I had back in May.  The customer service was beyond pitiful.  Two emails sent to them went unreturned.  I didn't bother calling.
