Holy Cow! Whenever I hear that BoB will be 80 it amazes me that he still looks as healthy as he does. He was my age back in the 1950's !!! I wish you an early Happy Birthday Bob.

Woo! The big 8-0!
I'm guessing that he still has another 10+ years with us. At least I hope strongly. I'm gonna be very upset when it's his time to go. But enough about that, eighty years old. Quite a milestone.

Bob Barker is eternal, I'm telling you man. They should have found someone to play a 130 year old Bob Barker in Minority Report(last year's Spielberg opus set roughly 50 years in the future)

Don't forget, Syd Vinnedge said that Bob has another 4 years with TPIR on the season premiere

How much longer do I have? I'd really like to know so I can estimate my estate's value at that time.

Dude, considering you just gave a man who has already lived past the national average lifespan another ten years based on nothing but seeing him on television, you had a little ribbing coming. Take it in the spirit it was intended, be glad you've been accepted in this community to the point of being someone who CAN be ribbed with, and let it slide. :)
-
Okay, you have a point.
The reason I guessed that Bob has at least another ten years left is because he is 80 years old and is still in great health. He is in great health, right?

Well, that's the point. So far as we know, he is. But what exactly do we know? Anyone seen his chart lately? He appears hale and hearty on television, but that's what he's paid to do.
I'm not saying yer wrong. I hope yer right. I hope Bob lives to be 1000 if that's what he wants. I _am_ saying that if I myself make it to 80, I'm gonna treat each morning that I sucessfully get out of bed as bonus time, never mind expecting another 10 years. :)
-
You're a smart man, Chris. Anything after 72 is pretty much borrowed time.
I wouldn't want to live to be past 100 or so, because who could call that living? Lying in bed, staring at the ceiling all day.

Have a healthy, safe and WONDERFUL Birthday, Bob!!
--------------------------
To the poster, regarding how healthy a person \"LOOKS\"
It is not possible to discern the condition of ANYONE
based upon OUTWARD \"appearances.\" Just recently,
I learned the sad and shocking news that a VERY dear
friend of mine had passed away; he was ONLY 60 years
old. To look at him, you would have NEVER imagined he
his time was right around the corner; he *looked* so
healthy, was in GREAT physical condition, he was the
absolute picture of health! Neither drank NOR smoked!!
He was so full of life!
Then one day, he had a massive heart-attack. We were told
he was dead BEFORE his knees even hit the ground; there was
NOTHING that anyone could have done to save him in ANY way.
When it's your time.. it's your time. Plain and simple.

Happy birthday, Bob! I'm sure Ralph Edwards is pleased at how his \"new discovery\" turned out.
