Title: I've Got a Secret Starring Steve Allen
Post by: Matt Ottinger on April 09, 2008, 11:11:33 PM
For those of you who might care about such things, tonight's (late Wed/Early Thu) episode of I've Got A Secret is the last one hosted by Garry Moore. It features Sam Levenson with a grade-school test for the panel. (Are they smarter than fifth graders?)  The next night will begin the new season and Steve Allen's association with the program in the host's chair.

To my knowledge, GSN does not have the debut episode in which (I'm told) Garry is on hand to pass the baton to Steve.  They will probably begin with the Edie Adams episode a week later.

I assume the set change came some time later?

The radical set change you're probably thinking of (not to mention the GSN airings changing from b&w to color) was a different version of the show, a 72-73 syndicated version also hosted by Steverino.  His 64-67 run with the original show kept the very simple desks & chairs.
