Title: More 'Truth'
Post by: uncamark on November 13, 2007, 03:15:07 PM
Fox has increased its order for the lie detector show "Moment of Truth" (formerly "Nothing But the Truth") from 7 to 12 eps:

James Hibberd's blog post says that the show premieres in March--I would've sworn that it was premiering in late January, with the desirable "Idol" lead-in.  Marky Mark L. Walberg is your host.

I can hardly wait for the first contestant with an embarrassing admission to say, "oh yeah, Guy Smiley? Well you hosted Temptation Island 2, so you can take that holier-than-thou attitude and stick it!"

But wouldn't you have Mark any day over the Rossi-and-Ty tag team???

Mark L. Walberg is one of the last of the oldliners. I would definitely take him.

Throw Rossi in the incinerator. Treadway doesn't grate on me as much.

Ty's a robot, to be sure, but he's watchable in short stints. Might even be passable if he were allowed / wanted to adlib.  Plus he's good fodder for drinking games.  Rossi's just bad.

Fox's original plan was to keep Back to You and 'Til Death on Wednesdays before American Idol (which airs hour-long shows on Wednesdays the first couple of months, until they get to the final 12 and start having half-hour "results shows").  However, because of the strike (and various other things), Fox shuffled its planned January schedule, and one of the moves was to replace the two comedies with Moment of Truth for now (in March, 'Til Death returns on Fridays, and Back to You fills the post-Idol half-hour on Wednesdays.)
