This is the forum for him to be groomed.

Wonder who he beat out for the job?

It's interesting that they got a relatively big name (these days, anyhow) for this Reno gig. That, and the more I watch Todd mature, the more I can see him in the role, and excelling.

All of a sudden that $27 looks more worth spending. What do weekends in Reno run these days?

No offense. Todd may be a nice guy and all, but ive pretty much had enough of him. Everywhere u look, hes trying to get seen. Either on ET, or some fox special or on GSN or on E!. For awhile Tom Cruise was like that on ET! it was like they were making a big deal about him, even being alive. Id rather see some Chuck Woolery around, but if i start seeing him everywhere, then that would be too mcuh too.

I think Todd has all the energy needed to be a good replacement for Bob if that ever comes to pass.

Well, I don't watch E!, I don't live my life in front of Whammy, and I'm not in a Powerball state. So I guess I don't have the Newton overload that some people might have.

I am going to see the show in Reno on 10/17, 10/18, 10/19. I really look forward to this show and the fact that my fate is up to me and not the producers. I know, I know... it is not the \"REAL\" thing but it will make a great second best.

I promise to post a report when I get home. The reservationist at Harrah's told me that the contestants' row will be filled from the audience by people playing a qualification game with keypads at their seats. So it seems to be really fair.

Why do I have this picture in my head of Steve Beverly sitting in the front row fawning over Todd?

Here is a little more information on it:

http://www.harrahs.com/price_land.html (http://\"http://www.harrahs.com/price_land.html\")

The games will include Plinko, Cliffhangers, the Big Wheel and it says the showcase with a \"twist\". The graphic shows what looks to be the Clock Game as well.  It also gives information on the hosts.

I'll be interested to see how Jeff Trachta does.  The cynic in me thinks back to the last time a soap star hosted \"Price\".

I thought about Doug Davidson as well when I saw that.

I also heard that 'Race Game' will be one of the games as well...

I'm curious as to what \"alternate responsibilities\" means. Will Todd announce when Jeff hosts and vice versa, or are they just suggesting that Newton is gonna host some shows, and Trachta is gonna host the other ones?

Both these guys are \"working acts\" and availability is an issue. Both are hosting, but at different times.
