That's right, golden-road.net's Marc Green announced that Drew himself will be having a Q&A session sometime next week in their chatroom. How cool is that?
More info here (http://\"http://www.golden-road.net/index.php?topic=4229.0\").

A bump...
Last night was Golden-Road.net's chat with Drew...a transcript is posted at the topic here. (http://\"http://www.golden-road.net/index.php?topic=4397.0\") (Excel file format) Lots of good questions, and, well...Drew still gets it.

Pretty interesting read, if you can get past all of the simpering. (Though I have to admit the users were better than I expected.)
It was interesting to glean from that just how much of a geek Drew is. It pleases me greatly. :)

I think the very fact that Drew would reach out to the internet fan community like that speaks volumes on how much he "gets it".
-
Of course, there's also this comment from Mr. Carey: "I also go to tvgameshows.net sometimes."
Well, we all make mistakes.
-
This is one major benefit of having a younger host. He's net-savvy.
Glad to hear he's looking to please the hardcores. He's very humble about this, and seems to be genuinely enjoying this and all that comes with it.
The staff seems to be having more fun, too.

I noticed that too, but I'm impressed that he does look at that, and Buzzerblog to get ideas. I wonder if anyone set him on to this forum, not to be a member, but just to get other ideas.

Great patience exhibited by Drew there :)
Speaking of Steve, seems kind of odd he hasn't offered up a sermon yet about what he thinks of Drew's performance.

Paul Thurrott took a while to put up his Windows Vista review, too. The Perfesser's prolly wrapping up Part Six as we speak.

See, this is the problem typing with your toes. Sometimes a letter sticks.
/Joke. It's a joke.

Now, if he were to say "I was premature in my declaration, and he's turned out to be decent," he'd score a point in my ledger.

Never happen. Da Perf's been wrong less than Stephen Colbert.

Then maybe he should run in Tennessee...

Which, I'm guessing, would probably bring him to one point total.

"hot and cold running fat jokes"
Hot running fat, I'll believe. Cold fat won't run.
(sorry, I had to try)
-
Speaking of the Perf, I'm surprised he hasn't assumed the fetal position off the thought that MTV's going to do one of his all-time faves, "Name That Tune." Maybe that's why he can't bring himself to post it yet--even with the CMT mitigation. Maybe MTV can make a deal with the Gospel Music Channel. :)

He's too busy celebrating the 100th birthday of Arlene Francis.
Mrs. Francis stopped celebrating them at 94, however.

Miss Francis. She was Mrs. Gabel.
I know.
