Isn't that person the videotape editor, though under a different alias found in the closing credits?

Depending on yer views of Barker, this is good news.

At this stage in the game, is it even news?

someone find the link but I believe this was the "pending lawsuit" that the writer of a book was alleging was forthcoming and one of the alleged reasons Barker quit this past season.

Yes, and wasn't it established that the radaronline was a tabloid or a highly unreliable source at that?

OK now, did Deborah Curling work for CBS as a prize administrator or did she work for Fremantle as a contestant screener? And since when is backstage at TPIR an intolerable work environment?
WRT the discrimination charges, TPIR or any other game show, television show, motion picture, stage play, radio program, or any other public performance, is under NO obligation whatsoever not to discriminate. They could cast all Caucasian contestants, or all African-American, or all Asian, or all Hispanic, or all Pacific Islander contestants to the exclusion of any other ethnic group and be perfectly within their rights. Being a contestant on TPIR is not an employment relationship and TPIR is not a public accomodation. Picking contestants for a game show is akin to casting actors for a movie or play. If the director wants an Asian actor in a role, an Asian actor it shall be; it is totally at the discretion of the director or producer.

It's probably not great if you're female and appealing to octogenarians.

The book you're referring to was mentioned in the tabloid National Examiner last week, and is tentatively titled, "Barker, Beauty, and the Price," by Chris Mann. No mention of a release date or price.
That same tabloid, IIRC, talked about the books on Jeopardy! by Harry Eisenberg, as well as Michael Dupee, as charging the show was "fixed."
