Over the past two weeks these have been some of Dave's Friday night funs facts:
1 - Gene Rayburns tombstone reads 'Beloved husband, father & blank'
2 - In 1974 Kim Jong Il was a contestant on the '20,000 Pyramid'
3 - Despite his expertise with vowels Pat Sajaks wife complains he has never been able to give her an 'O'

Several months ago, Letterman did the same schtick but with Kim Jong Il as a contestant on Tic Tac Dough in 1982. That show must've been on a Friday night because my TV would be on The Colbert Report at that time any other weeknight.

Maybe one of them was actually Kim's father, Menta Li Il.

They had another Fun Fact a few months ago that was more to the point:
"Pat Sajak can't read."
Funnier in Dave's voice.

Hey, don't blame me. It's Letterman's joke. :-)

One from tonight:
"And now, here's America's top trader, TV's big dealer, Monty Hall!"
-
On Friday's show, they also had a wonderfully incongruous promo to "stay tuned for Tic Tac Dough", including a shot of the original logo and even a still frame of Wink. It's always fun to hear Alan Kalter -- who got his start doing game shows for real -- hamming it up for a laugh.
-
I didn't see it myself, but somebody else did and got the video for me, which I have now put up on my site (http://\"http://www.gameshowvideos.com/\").

I'm "somebody else"? See if I ever do another damn thing for you. :-P

"Tic-Tac-Don't Miss It!"
I seriously lol'd.

More from last night that made me laugh. First in the opening remarks was this:
'The Ghost Whisperer will run errands for dead people. And tonight she helped Merv Griffin pitch a game show.'
And during fun facts:
'Merv Griffin once bumped Mother Theresa from his show so he could do a third segment with Charles Nelson Reilly.'

"The Password is horseradish."
*ding!*
