I think the odds would be high on that one...and I wouldn't be surprised if we get the "50 years of television" special on 10/11. Just to give CBS an excuse to run it one more time before the shelf the tape.
Even though it won't happen, I had this wild fantasy that CBS would run Bob's last show and Drew's first show in primetime back-to-back, and there would be a small skit in between a la the Daytime Emmy's where Bob would appear standing amongst the props backstage as Drew walks to the doors for his "first" entrance.
Something quick, poingant, and funny, where Bob can get a few one liners in at Drew before he starts his reign...Possibly ending with "Hey Carey? Break a leg, better yet, don't. I"ve heard you've damn near broke your arm already in rehearsal."

Or, alternately, we could avoid feeding His Holy Barkerness's ego and let Drew host the damn show on his own merits, since he doesn't need that jackass's seal of approval.
(Jesus. He's GONE. Let it GO already.)

The chance of Bob Barker's final episode of "The Price is Right" airing again should be next to zero, as that would lessen the value of such a show. Same goes for the tribute show.

That makes no sense. How would rerunning the show lessen its value?? If anything it would INCREASE its value to the network. Anyway, I'm betting they'll rerun the season finale.

Umm...it already HAS aired twice.

The tribute show is a little much, as Barker's time has come and gone, and so has the media hype.
However, I do think that it would make sense to air his final ep. as a transition into the Drew Carey era. Honestly, I wonder how many people see the show now and wonder why Barker's still on the air, not realizing it's a rerun. Not everyone's in the know like we are.
Will you please call off your dogs with the idolatry of Bob Barker and this show? It is not NEARLY as crucial as you seem to think.

Bravo. Bravissimo. Great photo to use, even. :)
/that one might be good for a "I see what you did there" too

Pardon me, I meant a second daytime airing (or any airing prior to October 15th) would lessen the value of the final show with Bob. Yes, I believe it makes sense as other programs with a long running host.
-
I don't see what difference it would make to most viewers: aside from the confetti, the new camera, and more expensive than usual items it's like any other episode.
Unless of course they promoted it heavily, in which case, unlike the generic reruns, everyone who would otherwise be interested in watching would know it was a show they'd already seen.
(If I were picking episodes to rerun, I'd make sure his last Hole In One was included(for his reaction at missing his last inspiration putt, despite not wanting to mention that it *was* the last) and the June 14th show (because I've seen but not heard it) but that's just personal preference and certainly neither a prediction nor a suggestion)

You are, as usual, not making a goddamn bit of sense.

One could suggest the DSW show on the 11th and the final show on the 12th. Not that it would or should come down that way.
-
This is an extrapolation, but according to Joe Capitano, if the rerun schedule remains the way it's been, 10/12 will be an episode from April.
-
And besides, from what's been indicated there is a heightened sense of elation in Studio 33 that the reappearance of a certain person would only cause to puncture.

It's just me, but I'd rather have Bob's final episode be a very special one...make sure that Janice, Dian, and Holly are all on it, along with at least one fur.
Or have a Katie Couric one-hour CBS News extravaganza that day. Either way would be a-ok by me.

Does anyone know if the episode with that Grand Game samoan lady had fur? If it does, then it's my nomination.
Believe me, after reading the section in Stan's book about all the stuff they "changed" to be politically correct with the world and Bob, I'd love to see one in spite of him.

Such as the asinine fact they will only give away "domestic" cars?

I dunno if Bob could handle a menage-a-quad anymore -- physically or legally!

No...this statement in Stan's book, page 23:
"Anything related to animal cruelty was rightfully gotten rid of and we never show any animal products even in the form of props...only plastic veggies on a grill on in a fridge."

Jason Coflesh's (http://\"http://www.geocities.com/TelevisionCity/4439/tpir.htm\") page would indicate it does not have a fur.
Nice thought, though.

According to the CBS Price page, the October 12 show is in fact a rerun of Bob's June 15 finale.
