Title: Price is Right Inquiry
Post by: Dbacksfan12 on June 26, 2007, 07:51:59 PM
When it comes to the showcases, were contestants normally relagated to one bid? Example:

Contestant: I bid $30,000
(audience boos and groans)
Bob: Your bid is $30,000; Fred, let's look at your showcase!

I'm almost sure I've seen contestants say one amount, then let the audience influence them into bidding higher or lower. From what I've seen, it usually depends on how the contestant gives their bid, i.e. saying "30,000?" with doubt, or "30,000!!!1!" with confidence.

It also depends on how sick Bob is (was) of your stalling. "$30,000isyourbidwe'llbeback!"
