The Creative Arts Daytime Emmy Awards were handed out last night.
Once again, the Outstanding Game/Audience Participation Show award was given at the Creative Arts ceremony, which was shown on the Internet only.
The winner was...The Price is Right. It meant that Bob picked up his eighteenth Daytime Emmy, with a possibility of a nineteenth - and final - one at tonight's primetime ceremony.

Make that 19.
And, here's what's funny. There are many photos from the AP, Reuters and other news organizations (you can see them at news.yahoo.com).
Reuters has a shots of Bob on the red carpet before the show and the caption reads "... arrives with unidentified escorts." Makes it sound like he had the limo cruise Hollywood & Vine before going to the Kodak.

A minor complaint about the voice-over when he won the hosting award. Instead of simply saying, "This is his 19th Emmy," it would have been helpful to say, "This is his 19th Emmy overall and his xxth in this category."
-
Wouldn't Bob be eligible for another one next year for this year's work?
-
Yes, assuming he gets submitted. It'd be interesting to see if TPTB would want to show up the new host by putting Bob up for it.
/assuming there IS a new host by then

I noticed they're not giving an award for game show direction any more! Does everyone (Eskander, Corwin, McCarthy and Cohen) directing daytime/syndicated game shows have at least one of those now?

Perhaps.
The way it is set up as of this year, besides the producers, the director and the writers also receive Emmys (the "Special Class Writing" category has been dropped). So on Thursday night, besides Barker and Rog, Bart and Adam and Stan got statues (the Emmy list did have Adam and Stan as "writers," even if they aren't credited that way on the crawl).

Is this award Barker's to claim? Wouldn't an award for "Creative Arts" be for the studio crew, art director, etc.?

I think the overall Best Show award has been shuttled over to the non-broadcast ceremony, so the EP would get to claim it.

Executive Producer, Producer, and Director each received Emmys.
