Per my CBS affiliate Source.
The Final first-run TPIR episode with Bob Barker will air not once, but TWICE on Friday June 15th.
The first airing will be at it's normal time @ 11AM EDT, with a rebroadcast of the final episode airing @ 8PM EDT (pre-empting Ghost Whisperer), leading up to the Daytime Emmy Awards at 9.
This programming move is to accomodate Chuck Donegan, should he not get the first airing on tape! :P

Line of the Day, anyone?

That's very smart on the part of CBS.
But, so much for their claim that last week's MDS was your last chance to see Barker host the show in primetime!

I don't remember them saying that. I remember them saying it was the last prime time "Million Dollar Spectacular".

The radio station I work for was running spots last week for the CBS affiliate, KMOV.
I have no way of uploading the audio, but here's how the spot started:
"Tonight, this is it! The very last time you'll see Bob Barker host 'The Price is Right' (pause) in primetime."
To me, that pause made it sound like it was the last show! Granted, we know that's not the case, but CBS promoting it that way.

Sounds like that was the original plan, until they got the Neilsens for last Wednesday Night. And if Bob brought in the ratings then, then imagine what the the final, final airing of the FINAL TPIR will do!!!
Let's just hope that the yet-to-be-taped show won't be an 0-for-6 show with a double overbid...But then again, to paraphrase Ray Combs on his final Feud ep., "What a Damn fine way to end my last show!!!"
And with a double-airing, this *could* give the show a bigger budget to play with on the finale, leading to some big-ass prizes in all 6 games (just speculation, but a logical assumption).

You can't get any more official than this (http://\"http://www.cbspressexpress.com/div.php/cbs_entertainment/release?id=15975\").

Oh, *that's* easy enough to prevent, if they want: find a car worth $24,655 for Lucky Seven, a trip costing $7,201 for Coming or Going, etc... or just do a regular show, saving Grand Game for last, and if not enough of the first five games were won, set the target price at $20 and throw in two prizes from Plinko... not much they can do to avoid a double overbid, though.

Unless you make both showcases straight up cash and gift certificates, then boom. Double Double Showcase Winners.

You give the average Price contestant WAY too much credit.

Rich: And your showcase contains EXACTLY $14,199 worth of cash and gift certificates!
Contestant: I'll bid $14,200. (even works in the Ob$420 bid)

Got my vote...in fact, given how that acronym became synonymous w/me back on the old ATGS, the Cleveland crew once joked that they'd be waiting for me upon my arrival @ Hopkins Airport (for a GSC there) w/a sign that read "AGTOT?". :-D
