The two articles don't even agree on the title -- Variety has it as Do You Trust Me?.
Is it, in fact, the same show that Carson hosted a half-century ago? (If so, you would think someone would be noting this in the press releases.)

"Who Do You Trust?" is slated to lense later this month at CBS Radford Studios.
Say What?

God I HATE Variety.

I watched the show that's on the TV4U site, and I thought it was OK. Clearly inspired by You Bet Your Life, so the early game wasn't anything to sneeze at, but it did get good toward the end.
Oh wait. This seems more like "Perfect Strangers," a quiz in the UK where people were randomly paired up to play a by-the-books elimination game, then played a bonus game where one person would bet on the partner's likelyhood of answering a question correctly.
The latter is far more interesting, and something I'd actually watch again.
And I think I've said my piece about Variety more than enough, but just in case you're new to the room: any group that acknowledges their 'we do this to feel like a club, and if you don't like it, TS' attitude is one I want no part of. And they say "Slanguage" too.

I'm guessing the host is not meant to be the subject of the titular question?

I'm not a fan of Variety-speak either, but this one is on the verge of making sense. Will it be on film? On videotape? On digital video? I don't mean just this Trust show; it could be any tv show or movie. Any second now we're going to need a new verb to cover any format. "Lense" isn't standard by any stretch, but DV, film and tape all use lenses, so why not?

Randy, are you insinuating that reading any Variety article is a lesson in "V-bonics".??? :-)
