Hi there, long time since I posted here, but I have a question.
Does anyone know where I can find any clips from the 70s or 80s versions of "Name That Tune"?
I would love to see some clips from the Golden Medley
thanks for your help in advance

There was a clip of an NTT that I have never seen before, the clip where Fire and Rain is played on NTT is it from a pilot of an NTT that never came about or what?

There *is* a NTT outtake floating around in the trading circuit (I added it to a few trades about 10 years ago) during the Money Tree era:
It features Tom Kennedy with a male and (well-endowed) female contestant. Somewhere in the conversation the male contestant asked Tom if he knew how to play "motorboat"...
I still have the tape (it's on a bloopers video compilation that was put out by Goodtimes Video in the late 80s/early 90s), but it has yet to make the move out West yet.

I worked on that particular pilot - I wonder if I could get royalties from Sandy? (yeah right!)
That clip is from a version done by Pasetta Productions and hosted by the late singer Peter Allen. It was taped in September 1989, and was to be distributed by Orion starting in fall 1990. The show didn't sell, though the format in this pilot was the basis for the Philips CD-i version of NTT.

From his home page:
Sandy Frank Entertainment (SFE) is the longest established, most successful independent distributor of syndicated format programming. In its 35 years of existence, the company has successfully launched and marketed every single program or series it undertook to distribute - a track record unequalled in the television industry.

I don't believe it.
And does he call a year-and-a-half for "Face the Music" successful?
He sure is a salesman.
