You might remember last year, Bennett Cerf's son Christopher Cerf won a Grammy.
It turns out that this year's awards had a nominee that had the word "Gameshow" in it.
Tommy Emmanuel was up for a Grammy for Best Country Instrumental Performance for the song "Gameshow Rag/Cannonball Rag." However, in the (I believe) non-televised portion of the show, it lost to Bryan Sutton & Doc Watson's "Whiskey Before Breakfast."

Oh sweet jesus.

Nothing like DIGGING for something to post about. The song, other than the title, has zero to do with game shows.
This would be like someone posting about the Super Bowl Post-Game Show.

SO WHAT?!?!
I thought Brian was warned repeatedly about things like this.
-
Let it be known:
I am ROTFL.
-
Am I the only one that thinks Brian has a wall of about 50 televisions in a circle all around him, all with closed captioning on, just until he sees the words "game show" any where, then runs to his laptop to tell us like we care?
Maybe he has a staff. Maybe I'm giving him too much credit.
-
I...but, well...um. {Gilbert Gottfried}Hey, Henke, what the f(bleep)?!{/GG} You know damn well that that album most likely has nothing to do with game shows. Chad's analogy is correct.
Now, I'm not saying Henke is a troll, but he's very, troll-ish.
/Thank you, Jamie Foxx...

Here's the timeline of the last 15 or so minutes of my life.
11:12PM: Opens the GSF and clicks on "Big Board" subforum.
11:12PM: Sees topic "Grammy had a Game Show connection this year...". Intrigued, a click opens this topic.
11:13PM: Sees that topic is started by Brian Henke...but reads, since he is not ignored (for sake of laughter)
11:13PM: Scratches head, wonders "what the hell is this?"
11:13PM: Reads the rest of the replies, and promptly starts a ROFL.
11:15PM: ROFL ends.
11:15PM: Starts watching SportCenter's 30,000 show.
11:18PM: Looks up song on iTunes, promptly exits after finding out the SONG SUCKS.
11:19PM: Interrupted twice by MySpace notifications.
11:20PM: Looks up some piece of trivial information that could be posted.
11:20PM: Says "to hell with it...not worth my time."
11:26PM: Posts this.
11:26PM: Wants a refund for the time just expended.
/this post was probably more entertaining than the OP
//probably second-best topic ever
///best. topic. and. replies. ever. (http://\"http://gameshow.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=7869&hl=\")

I'll give him credit for the attempt. Shouldn't have done it, but it was a semi-noble effort.

On Dallas, there was a character (Cliff Barnes) who shared the same first name as a TPIR pricing game (Cliff Hangers). Therefore, Dallas has a game show connection! Isn't it obvious?

He was indeed.
I defended his Hoosier Millionaire posts because, delayed and useless as they were, they were on topic. This isn't even close. As with the tasteless posts, he won't be doing it again without repercussions.
-
Wow, after a long outage that caused me to not being able to read most of the wonderful posts, I run right into Henke's post. Brian, what did you do with yourself without the GSF up and running?
/back to lurking

Any truth to the rumor that a certain Zach is a free-lance correspondant and/or bowling buddy of Brian?

Zach actually had the nerve to criticize Brian a few times for "inappropriate" posts.
On any PKB scale from 1 to 10 that has to rate at least, well, 94 or thereabouts.
