I found an old TV commercial (http://\"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLNQY7VAiDI\") for a defunct chain of stores called The Treasury, which uses the theme music heard on the original NBC version of Jackpot!

Hmmm. Wonder what relationship The Treasury had with JC Penney? I do know that the JCP folks also used that stock music for at least one of their own commercials (I believe it was around 1980, advertising a white sale).

I think it was a subsidiary - Penney also had a version in a few cities called Treasure Island, which was the first discount store (ahead of even KMart!) in Appleton, Wis., where I used to shop.

Yeah I know this is going off topic (From Gameshows) But wasn't there a Connection from Treasury, with Thrift Drug and Trust stores, Before the whole thing Became Eckerd ?
