A couple of pics of host Ed Grennan on the set of Chicago's version of "It's Academic", in the 1960s. (WMAQ-TV).

Having been around when Grennan was working at WMAQ, I can vouch that he was a true professional and a class act always.
His son Sean is an actor-turned-playwright and now lives in New York, but to the WMAQ technicians who might come to see him act in the 80s, he was always "Ed Grennan's kid."

Agreed. I remember him coming in to the make-up room to talk to us contestants before the show. Really nice guy.
And the "It's Academic" set looked much cooler in real life than on TV...
