Title: No GS changes in Cincinnati
Post by: brianhenke on September 06, 2006, 06:04:15 PM
There will be no syndication GS changes in Cincinnati come fall.

WWTBAM and FF stay at 9-10 am on WKRC.

Wheel and J! stay at 7 and 7:30 for a 23rd consecutive season on WCPO.

   Lasting expressions?

Actually, given the similar name and subheading to the other thread, my guess is that he saw the other thread but didn't bother to read it to see if it contained information on areas beyond Norfolk.

Not an excuse, mind you, just another possible explanation.

Yes, you're right, Brandon. I suppose his posts should be treated with the same respect (cough cough) that Zach's were. :)

It's still up there with "Generalissimo Francisco Franco...is still dead." Except not funny.

I think I'm the only other person besides Henke who cares.  That's because I'm making the 1000 mile journey there at the end of the month.

Otherwise, he'd get a WTF from me.

It was my stock response whenever the folks at the TV station asked me if now-former San Jose Sharks general manager Dean Lombardi had been fired yet. :)

You mean, pulling a Gerald Ford and falling over every damn thing wasn't great? ;-)

/Yes, it got old very fast
//Yet, it was still quite humorous...

Everything remains the same.
Henke can't do what 10 people tell him to do
So I guess he'll remain the same, yes...

The only sign of sentient life in Cincinatti is the one that points to Pittsburgh. 8-P

Speaking of Pittsburgh, KDKA radio, the first commercial station and the first to broadcast a baseball game, is losing its broadcast rights for Pirates games at season's end.  (If I heard correctly, they were broadcasting games ever since 8/5/21) This has nothing to do with game shows, but I figured that at the news is at least worth the same as this thread. >>

No, it doesn't have anything to do with game shows, but still - WOW.

I believe KDKA is the only station in Pittsburgh that's had the rights to Pirates games - is that right?

I believe that's the case.

I guess this could be equated in magnitude to having The Price is Right hypothetically move to NBC.

Actually this might be more akin to having Meet the Press and The Today Show move from NBC to CNN.
