Title: Syndie shows in Norfolk
Post by: BrandonFG on August 29, 2006, 08:46:12 AM
From what I've noticed, "Millionaire" moves back to the 10am hour on WTKR, still a double run. Dr. Keith Ablow moves to the 4pm slot.

As of the 11th, Feud stays in its 11am and 5pm slots. TVguide.com does not indicate new episodes for Feud as of yet.

Of course, Wheel and Jeopardy remain in the 7pm hour on WVEC.

Bump for a slight correction.

Feud takes over the 1pm slot on September 18, still on WTVZ. Greg Berendht takes the 11 am hour, and a double run of "My Wife and Kids" replaces the 5 pm episode.

Knowing WTVZ, the show will prolly go right back to 11 am and 5 pm, those being the two slots the show has been in the longest, outside of a brief double run at noon.

In Harrisburg, we have a bevy of shows moving from channel to channel, but only a few involve game shows.

The only game show to jump ship is WWTBAM. It moves from WHTM (ABC)'s 12:30pm time slot to WHP (CBS) for a double-run from 10am-11am. FF moves times, but not channels. It was on at 1pm. After a temporary stay at the 9am-10am hour this week, it moves to 2-3pm next week to make room for Montel Williams. Montel was on WHTM for many years, but now moves to WPMT and a 9am timeslot. Making up the 4pm hour on WHTM that was formerly Montel is Judge Judy (which moved from WHP), and taking Millionaire's old spot is Judge Joe Brown (which also moved from WHP).

Indianapolis:

Wheel-Jeopardy!: stay put at 7-8 on NBC-13.

Feud: Starts on CBS-8 in its usual 4-5 slot, but after one week moves off to sister station My-23 in the same slot, as the company thinks someone wants to watch Megan Mullally at 4.

Millionaire: This cannot be good - it HAD been airing on ABC-6 at 7p with a rerun at 12:30p. Next week, it moves to FOX-59 from 12-1 - right between Greg Behrendt and Springer. Classy digs, those...

No changes in Sacramento-Stockton, with Millionaire at 4:30pm, J! at 6:30pm and WOF at 7pm on KXTV News 10, and FF on CBS 13 KOVR before TPIR.

But come November, when the NBA season starts News 10 will bump Millionaire and WOF occasionally due to the Kings games, and J! will be shoved to 1am after Jimmy Kimmel occasionally as well.

Luckily, I can get WOF and J! earlier on WSBK TV 38 Boston thanks to Dish Network ,and I can also get FF on WWOR My9 New York, too.

Birmingham: everything's the same, game show wise.  Double doses of Feud and Millionaire still afternoons on what's now being called CW21; Jeopardy! remains on CBS 42 and Wheel on ABC 33/40.  Biggest changes appear to be in talk shows, with my station losing Regis and Kelly and her Tide marker to 42, apparently to make way for Rachel Ray and that Fox hour we're supposed to get.

Two changes in the Milwaukee market:

1) Millionaire moves to noon on WDJT.  Same station, new time.
2) Family Feud will now double-run at 11:30 and noon on WDJT-owned WMLW (Channel 41 over-the-air, 7 cable).  I hope that the first-run eps. are at 11:30, because of #1.

NOTES:
The last time Feud will air on WDJT is this Thursday, due to Tennis on Friday.
Jeopardy and Wheel are still on WDJT at 6:00 and 6:30 PM, respectively.

In Nashville, Feud moves from 12 Noon CT to 1 PM CT., still on WZTV (FOX affil)

Everything else stays put except for the secondary airing of WWTBAM.  It aired at 1 PM, it's now EDIT:  It actually just moved from 1 PM to 12:30 PM (CT).

NY: Feud will be on WWOR-9 from 3-4. That's the only change however.

Chicago:  Everything as before--"J!" at 3:30 p.m. and "Wheel" at 6:28 p.m. on WLS, "WWTBAM" double-pumped at 11 a.m. on WGN and, in a time slot it's been in since the beginning of summer, "Feud" double-pumped at 10 a.m. on WCIU.

Since so many others are adding their local changes to this thread (and my not wanting to feed the other one...)

Huntsville, AL has only one change, namely the 3:30PM airing of "Meredithaire" on WHNT-CBS-19 being replaced by the second half of Rachael Ray's new show.

The rest of the schedule remains intact, namely:
Feud 11AM to 12 noon double run on WAFF-NBC-48
Jeopardy! 12:30PM on WAFF
Millionaire's 6:30PM airing on WHNT
Wheel 6:30PM on WAFF

WAFF 48 is the only Huntsville station I get on my cable, and I noticed they don't often put their station bug in the corner of the screen on local and syndicated programming.  I don't know if this is on purpose or if I just happen to tune in when they forget, but props either way.

I decided to check and see what's going on in Philly as far as Feud goes, and it almost feels like 1994 w/ TNPiR all over again...

It looks like FF is moving stations in Philly. Today is its last day on the noon time slot on WTXF-29. However, it won't debut in Philly until Sunday, September 17. That day, WPHL-17 airs it from 3pm-6pm.

For our younger viewers, WTXF did the same thing back in '94, airing Davidson's "The New Price is Right" in a mini-marathon on Saturday afternoons..

I think he meant it was on at 9, and now is on from 10am-11am.

At least, that's what I'm speculating , after not posting the same question a few days ago! :)

I can tell you for a fact that WAFF's non-use of their bug during local/syndie programs is indeed standard procedure for the station.  Coincidentally, WHNT (the only other Huntsville station to air any syndie games) also refrains from using its logo bug during local/syndie programs.

I don't know if you did or don't read an earlier post of mine about Wheel and Jeopardy! competing against each other in Birmingham, but does that situation ring a bit odd to you, as it does to me?  AFAIK, Birmingham is the only market in the US where that is the case.  (BTW I don't get any Birmingham stations where I live, which is the northern part of Madison County, but I do have grandparents in the Tuscaloosa area.)

Connecti-Matt got it right.  The hour went from 9 to 10 on WOIO, and will be on from 10 to 11 AM on said station.

Oh that sounds real great Aaron and I hope I learn a lot from him or her or it or whatever species Iris Mason is because she/he/it/we/you/they sound like a very smart and intelligent and great person I'd like to emulate around here starting on September 8, 2006 which happens to be today's date, which is just three days before John O'Hurley starts hosting Family Feud which airs on WOIO in my area from 10 to 11 AM, not on WUAB as Gus said earlier...

I give up.  That's what I get for having passed English 101 and 102 after less than 4 attempts apiece.

It appears that "Family Feud" has been completely removed from the Des Moines, IA schedules. Everything else is staying put and all on the same channel, WHO 13.

Millionaire?: 4:00 PM
Jeopardy!: 4:30 PM
Wheel of Fortune: 6:30 PM

Yes it is a bit odd, and it's also very recent, just in the last few years.  Both ran on my station (Fox 6) for years and years before they migrated to the ABC affiliate (Wheel) and the CBS station (Jeopardy!).

Correction on FF in Sacramento-Stockton! KTXL FOX 40 will air it from 11am-noon starting tomorrow,as Martha Stewart takes over FF's old slot on KOVR CBS 13. And now Dr. Phil will air on BOTH CBS 13 and CW 31 at 3pm on 13 and 7pm on 31 plus I also get it on WSBK Boston on satellite.

And you people who want to see Guiding Light in Sacramento, I hate to burst your bubble!. CBS 13 will stick with Montel at 2pm after As The World Turns. Try to catch GL on KHSL-TV 12 Chico or KPIX CBS 5 San Francisco for GL,if you can get either station. Sacramento has not seen GL since the early 1990's when KXTV had CBS shows and KOVR the ABC ones.
