I just read that Kreskin is to appear on Deal or no Deal - can anyone confirm if this episode has already aired?

Man, there is a joke here about seeing into the future, but I just don't know exactly how to deliver it. :)

Anyone in the audience for this ? I want to know how many Kreskin misses they edit out. Cause you know dang well they won't leave em in.

I knew you were going to say that.
In fact, if you look inside this envelope, you'll see I predicted it this morning.

I can see Kreskin's face on the monitor saying, "It's coming to me now...I see financial disaster in your future!"

Random Yet Slightly Related Factoid: The expected number of correct guesses if you try and predict what is in every case is 2.85 out of 25 tries. I'd say "yes, there'll be loads of editing", but the DoND editors already own more scissors than Tim Burton. (Someone'll get that.)

Ever all, many more people have heard of Celine Dion than Kreskin, so you put your promotional powers behind Celine.

I may be a skeptic (for which I blame overexposure to Bill O'Reilly and Jay Mariotti), but sometimes skeptics can be hypocritical--especially the ones who have debunked 100% of all claims of pyschic ability. If every test turns out the way you say it will, by definition, you're psychic!

You guys aren't nearly as cleverly obscure with your pop culture references as you think you are. In fact, I'm not entirely sure that the latter post even "got" the first one.

Depends on what you're testing. If psychic ability is nonexistent, then testing it is about the same as testing the theory of gravity.

I take it you don't remember the 1990 movie Edward Scissorhands. Johnny Depp played the title character; Tim Burton directed. No, I've never seen it either, but it's worth mentioning that a certain game show host who goes by the unlikely name of John Davidson was found in the movie's IMDb cast listing.

Matt, do you want this "wow" or can I have it?

Vincent Price was in Scissorhands. He hosted a game show called E.S.P. in the '50's. Kreskin might have done well on that one.

Well, at least his message acknowledged that HE knew who Tim Burton was, and I did accuse him of perhaps missing that reference.
But...um, yeah. Wow.

LOL...incidentally, he also appeared during the final season of the syndie WML?, as both a panelist and Mystery Guest.

I've seen Kreskin twice: once on Fox & Friends, and once in person. In the latter case, he was checking out of a hotel in Halifax as I was checking in for my brother's wedding. Naturally he predicted a long and happy marriage. So far, so good. :-)
-
I saw Kres in person once.
I was a fledgling segment producer at a talk show in DC, at the start of my career. Putting my segment together, an a capella musical group, was a big thrill, and a big challenge for me.
Kreskin was on the same show. Did a trick with the hosts (for clemon : John Curley). Trick didn't work. He said he could make it work. Stayed on show a full extra segment to make trick work. As a result, one later segment got pulled. My segment.
I dont' like the Amazing Kreskin.

Did he get any of em right or did he screw those up too?

Since I am apparently pop culturally challenged; who/what is Kreskin?

He's a little before your time: the Amazing Kreskin is a "mentalist" whose schtick is having people hold onto one end of a hanky while he holds the other one and telling the person all kinds of seemingly "private" facts about their life. He's an utter sham, basically.

Don't feel bad. The only reason I've ever heard of him is from a brief mention in "Superfudge".
Goodness GRACIOUS, that brings back some memories!
ObGameShow: I remember a Judy Blume from Jeopardy! c. 1994. :-P
