Next Wed's (4/12 ep) will is listed on TVGuide.com as a "Miss USA" special...aren't we rushing a little too fast into the celeb thing, though?

So much for never allowing a celebrity to play on the show. That piece of hope lasted....how long......a couple of hours?
I did wonder how soon in advance of The Spring Sweeps (please don't call it May Sweeps seeing how this ratings period will commence in late April) they'd pull this. Will they never learn?

I was under the impression the USA-babes were replacing the babes, and not the contestants.
But I may be wrong.

The 26 models will be replaced by the Miss USA winner and 25 other contenders, as stated before.

But the contestant is a professional clown who "brings the circus and surprises of his own as he plays for the top prize of $1 million dollars". I already know, I'm going to want to hut this episode.

April 10 TV Guide (the original paper one) has a photo of Howie with "Miss USA" case #1 in the Hot List. :)
However, considering the way the networks have been shuffling things around after it goes to press (for example, moving the Tim McGraw special to Friday night this week and CBS shuffling TAR to Wednesday's at 8 PM, neither of which corrections have been made in the paper copy yet for next week), I would gather that the website's 4/12 airdate is the correct one as opposed to the 4/14 date listed in the magazine.

In the name of Kenny Williams, please tell me you're joking.
If you're not, I'm going over to Chris Lemon's house and watching this with him.

Just let me know in advance, so I can acquire some canapes. :)

So instead of someone's grandma walking out...a tiger will instead.
Lovely...the show itself is turning into a three-ring circus.

Ya know, there are an awful lot of bunched panties over a TV Guide listing. Why not wait until it airs and THEN crucify it?

Yes, 4/12 is the correct date. It was originally scheduled for 4/14, but last week NBC switched it with some Tim McGraw special that was originally scheduled for 4/12.
And going off-topic a little, paper tv guides (and I'm talking in general, not just the TV Guide brand) are useless nowadays. Schedules change so much that a lot of changes are made after print books go to press (typically 3-4 weeks ahead of time), while electronic/on-screen guides are updated much closer to air date. Speaking as someone who works in TV listings, if you want accurate listing information don't rely on print books.

I agree. The Scanner that comes in my Star Ledger is always off in one way or another

Isn't the Tim McGraw special this week?
ObGS: 10 Seconds was long gone before "I Like It, I Love It" was ever recorded.

And now NBC is saying that the 4/14 episode will be episode #3 from last December

Didn't Millionaire do this at one time; doing a look back at their original shows?
-
(Spoiler deleted as the show has not yet aired. Mr. Smith, did you learn NOTHING from the criticism of your ATGS antics? -DZ)

Yes, but it was nearly a year after they aired(late June-early July 2000 for reruns of the August 1999 shows IIRC), not four months later like is apparently the case with DOND.
