The last airing for the time being:
Tuesday, March 28
Sundance Channel East (Channel 165 for most Northeast Comcast customers)
10:30am - 12 noon
A clip can been seen here (http://\"http://www.sundancechannel.com/film/?ixFilmID=6739&rname=The+Film+Finder\")
Having seen it, all I can say is it's interesting.

So's a root canal, if you're into that sort of thing. :)

I had my DVR tape it when it aired early (5:15) Sunday morning. I look forward to seeing it, although I'm not sure why. :)
Comcast Harrisburg also airs it on 165 too, and if you miss that showing, it airs on 166 (Sundance West, if you have it), at 1:30pm.

please, please, please, don't anyone get your hopes up. As someone who has seen (fast forwarded through) this movie it's MST3K material at it's worst. If the Razzie awards had started a year earlier this would have swept them. This is coming from the guy with more Gong Show episodes on tape than anyone (from 80's USA network, I LOVE the show) but I'm the first to say this movie is just under 2 hours of your life you will never get back.

It is worth it to check out Jaye P. Morgan's nipperoonees.

Politically Incorrect joke time[/i]
And for most of our posters, it'll be the closest they've ever gotten to seeing such a thing...or is that "things".
This has been your Politically Incorrect joke...if you're offended, then it means I did my job.[/i]

Are we allowed to say that sort of thing here? Isn't this a family-oriented forum? :)

Shows how much I know. I though "nipperoonees" were the small dogs in the RCA commercials.

It's a wonder those commercials got past the censors.

I've sat through Ishtar, Dracula: Dead And Loving It, Boogeyman, and Cannonball Run II and I'd rather watch The Gong Show Movie any day of the week.

No it isn't. It's no big thing. Or they're no big things.
What's more interesting to me is trying to tell which "Gong Show" footage was authentic and which was created expressly for the film. (For instance, the entire final group of "clips" was all created for the film.)
I notice odd freeze frames at times... there are perhaps some panelists who didn't clear their appearance in the clips.

I thought the time Mickey Rooney's daughter-in-law was a Playboy centerfold was the only time we got to see nipperoonees.
And I propose we not be allowed to refer to them as boobs, hooters, breasticles, bowackas, Winnebagos, or golden bozos -- only as jugs.

From the way this thread has gone you'd think they were showig The Gazonga Show Movie.
All week. Waitress. Veal.

Anyhoo, I missed the Sundance Channel's airing (uncut, I would assume), are they planning to show it a few more times? I only have a copy of an "edited for TV" version and it would be interesting to see what they chopped out.
I know Chuck claims the movie only lasted in first-run theaters for a week in his "Confessions..." audiobook, but I can still remember clear as day the movie ad which ran in the Plain Dealer's Friday Magazine way back when (and how I originally thought that it was just a 2-hour Gong Show episode featuring nothing but "OOOPS"-ed acts that were 'too hot for television').

Sundance is always uncut, so yeah, you'll see it the way Chuck Barris meant for it to be seen.
Although for that to be truly possible, you'll have to buy your own six-packs and tequila bottles. :)

Heads-up (or down): More airings are now scheduled for June.
