Veteran TV game-show producer (and one-time host) Scott Sternberg has hooked up with Atari for a big-money TV adaptation of the latter's pioneering 1970's video game.
The article gives a wrong title for one of Sternberg's past productions, which should have read Wheel 2000.

For a second I was reading that as "Million Dollar Bong", and I was thinking "Isn't Snoop Dogg still doing Joker's Wild?"....

Are you staff or a contestant?

I'm hoping they will add some sort of element to make this game halfway watchable. I have some ideas going across my head where the Pong board is a grid, where contestants must cross to the opponent's side. Kinda like "Blockbusters".
Remember that live action Pac Man commercial from a few Super Bowls ago? Now, I'd pay to see that as a game show!
/Granted, we also had "The Money Maze"

I think he's lost his magnificent marbles.

I caught that obscure reference too. The Music cues would be perfect for this show.
Now if it was Million Dollar BEER Pong, I'd be going for contestant tryouts yesterday.
/Not necessarily for the Free Beer at the audition.

That Pac-Man would have been great if either they had better casting or the ghosts actually ate the player. And $1,000,000 Money Maze would be, as Robert Duvall said in Network, "a big, fat, big-t***ed hit."

I'll wait till "Million Dollar Paperboy", thank you very much.
