The Big Board / Re: Reboot of "Talk About" being talked about

For those hoping Wayne Cox will host the reboot, they will be disappointed. Ain’t no way.

I believe you're right. Didn't he retire about a decade ago, anyway?

However, on the board game side, this is the same Dan Rowen that was attached to Playroom / Ultra Pro Entertainment.
I glossed over this the first time I saw this thread.  Never did I think there would be overlap in any Venn diagram with (the entertainment side of) the best manufacturer of sportscard and Pokémon card holders and game shows.

I recognize TA host Wayne Cox, and producer Mark Maxwell-Smith, but wonder who the guy on the far right is.

Looks like Andrew O'Connor, the UK host, to me.

A different source, providing the same story, shows this picture:

BTW, the article mentions that Mark Maxwell-Smith is to be on a panel at the Quiz Show Expo today/tonight.  If anyone from the group is attending, I'd like to hear what he has to say himself about this business deal.

The editors of TV Guide? What do they usually edit?

Personal opinions on a TV show are a direct correlation to its popularity?

I don’t think it’s a properly-executed show. The ratings are decent enough to keep getting renewed. Two things can be correct.

Am I the only one who still thinks the Passwod segments seen during Jimmy's Tonight Show are still above and beyond the primetime shows?
Not at all. I was very impressed at how faithful they were to the original, all the way down to opening audience shot. So while I didn’t expect them to do the same exact thing with the reboot, I was also surprised at things like standing ovations every single time someone guessed correctly.

That's true--you have certainly been the beneficiary of your own statement around these parts as well.

Despite the late night segmentsbeing more for fun than for $$$, it still seemed to flow better than Keke's version.
