Anyone know if the Philsbury Bake-Off will be going on this feburary, and if CBS is going to show us another classic TPIR like they have been doing since 98? id miss not having my 4 classic TPIR episode ;(
Thanks

No doubt it will be going on, but I'm not seeing any press releases on the Pillsbury website that mention CBS being their broadcast partner. At this time last year, the press release about the bakeoff prominently mentioned being on CBS with Marie Osmond hosting.
So, I think we have to wait a wee bit for more information.

Considering the bake-off's in June this year, that MAY be why there's been little mention

Yeah, that would make sense. A little too much sense...
(Or so the Germans would have us believe...)

I haven't seen the TPIR Classic eps in the past so I really wanna see it if they do it this year.

It's all a master plot by Germans to have David Hasselhoff as the next president, because, as we know, Germans love David Hasselhoff
When I start channeling old Norm MacDonald jokes, you KNOW I'm tired :-P

If Fremantle wants to make TPIR look like its beloved Baywatch when Barker is finished, maybe they should get Hasslehoff to host. Oops, I probably gave them an idea.

Last I heard, a classic TPIR had been scheduled for sometime around June (any other golden-road.neters, back me up.)

Wow. That joke was so bad that it was actually hilarious. I don’t know if you should be embarrassed or proud of that. Keep em' coming, I guess.

In the history of the Pillsbury Bake Off, there have been these hosts...
Arthur Godfrey
Ronald Reagan
Art Linkletter
Bob Barker
Gary Collins
Willard Scott
Alex Trebek
Phelicia Rashad
Marie Osmond
And in 1996 over in Dallas, Texas (HOORAY!), history was made when after 47 years, Kurt Wait became the 1st gentleman to win the Bake-Off. Just like in 1992 when The Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series!

I completely and utterly fail to understand where a parallel can be drawn between a guy winning the Bake Off for the first time in 47 years, and an entire baseball team that wasn't even 20 years old at the time winning their first World Series. Other than they are both first time events, in which case I can point you to about 47 other ones too.

I didn't know that, even though I've lived in the Dallas/Fort Worth area my entire life.

Yes, thank you, I was well aware of that. The Hartford Whalers also made their first (and only, in that incarnation) trip to the NHL Finals that year, as well.
Unless Mr. Wait was Canadian, I still don't see what in the hell the two things have to do with one another.

Just don't allow them to breed.

I asked this question at golden-road.net, and the answer is......YES.
