Per CBS.com:

The Price Is Right has cancelled the shows for the week of September 19-22 as Mr. Barker had minor surgery on his face and needs a week to heal.

Hope the WGMC recovers fast. When contract renewal time happens (and instinct tells me Bob will re-sign) I hope he'll allow a sub to come in when he has to be away for these unforseen reasons.

CBS.com has taping dates listed to July of next year, including posting the tape date for the 35th season premiere. Of course, this means nothing with Barker's out clause and considering how those dates will probably change as time approaches.

To get to his 50 years on television goal, Barker has to go until the 2006-2007 season.

It wouldn't be 50 consecutive years, however, as there was a roughly one year gap between the end of the NBC TorC and the beginning of the syndicated run. To get 50 years total on national TV, he'd have to go to the 2007-08 season.
