The Paris Sisters were quite well known. Here's a Cullen TPIR fact. Norman Mailer was married to one of the models

The Big Board / Re: NBC taking DOND ... to an island

Replying to Jeremy because this pertains to the outcome and assorted stuff that maybe you haven't seen yet:

The ginormous right-side (and comparatively peanuts left side) does make it feel nearest to what I would prefer DOND was--and what the Dutch lottery version was--a single event episode with a potentially huge prize as opposed to the weekly/bi-weekly circus where a big chunk of the board is $100k or more, and you just have to ride out the silliness for a substantial payday.

The Big Board / FWIW: Little Known Barker TPIR Factoid.

As I do a weekly oldies show on our local Community Radio station, I try to pull out some obscure facts about the artists I play and relay them to the listeners.

Recently, I stumbled on a factoid about former TPIR staffer Sherrell Paris, who worked closely with Bob during much of the Barker era.   I never made the connection that she was a hit-maker in the early 60s!

I believe they showed her briefly on a couple of occasions for game-related reasons, but I don't ever recall Bob ever mentioning her recording career.

Anyhoo, if you wish to learn more about Sherrell's pre-Price career,...

Wasn't it announced that Whose Line would be canceled a while back? Or do they have enough segments saved up that they can still run new episodes?

Not announced, per se.  More of a pretty outspoken statement by Colin Mochrie concerning credits and residuals.

Keep in mind that it's been common in the past to mine a taping for multiple episodes.  So what they taped last year could continue to be used for quite some time.

I think 24-25 is the final season.

As previously announced, LeVar Burton will host Trivial Pursuit, which will feature a "dramatic finale against the clock" to claim the big money jackpot."

Raven-Symone has been tapped to host Scrabble, where "wordsmiths battle it out over a series of addictive word games of skill and strategy to win points and master a giant Scrabble board in the center of the set."

That whole fall schedule looks like what 11-year-old me would have created if asked to build a TV schedule from scratch -- a night of game shows, two hours of wrestling, random sports, etc.

Applications for Pop Culture Jeopardy appear to be officially open now:

I would totally apply for this if it were individual contestants, but I could never find two other people who would want to be on a team with me.
