The keywords here being "to us". There's an older set of viewers out there who know how to access Buzzr, whether it be OTA or with their cable/satellite, but wouldn't know Hulu from Netflix. THESE are the people who will benefit from it.

This right here. My mom would LOVE Pluto. I tried getting them a Roku box and a year of Hulu one year for Christmas. COMPLETE non-starter. She's got a smart TV in the living room now, and I promise you she has not one damn clue how to use the apps. :)

It might not actually be ready for applications yet. Seems like it might be some sort of testing site. It came up high in a Google search for Pop Culture Jeopardy though.

Anyone having trouble logging in? It says my email/password are invalid, it won't let me log in using Facebook, and I have yet to receive a reset password email. Wonder if the site isn't as ready as they thought?

I experienced the same things. I made a new account and  that seemed to work.
Damn...now the site is down altogether. I guess they didn't expect as much of a response. I'll try again later tonight.

When I first heard a description of this show, I imagined trap doors that contestants fell through if they stepped on a wrong answer (à la Squid Game). A video floor four feet off the ground doesn't quite match what my imagination conjured.

That said, wasn't that about the distance of the fall on Russian Roulette? I thought they instructed contesti to crumple when they landed on the pads to make it look like it was a straight drop.

Indeed! There was one Saturday I recall in which they ran a 90 minute block from 10:30am-noon of Kennedy Price, Cullen Price and an hour-long Barker.

Amazon Prime has been quite busy with game shows lately. First it was the U.S. take on "The 1% Club" followed by Travis Kelce helming a "5th Grader" reboot. Now this ...

Based on the description, this sounds like Michael Davies's "World Series of Pop Culture" with a "Jeopardy" bow on top. No word on host, actual format or premiere.

This has been out there for a few days apparently: https://stg.jeopardy.com/be-on-j/pop-culture

The Big Board / Re: NBC taking DOND ... to an island

Actually they passed on two pilots I know of plus I believe they had some unscripted lotions they have not committed to.
Are we talking Lubriderm? Premium Nivea? I know every lotion can't be an Aesop, but man...

Anyways, the finale dropped on streaming this morning and...

1. we find out that the "banker" this whole time was Howie Mandel, who provided live offers for the final round while Joe hosted. It was actually nice to have him for the finale, and while Joe didn't have a ton to work with in terms of the DoND elimination games each episode, the fact that Howie essentially hosted the whole final game from the Banker's chair punctuates how good he was on the original show, and now I kinda want to see a version of DoND where the Banker is also the host.

2. the top case was more than $13 million, while the rest of the right hand side of the board consisted of the highest cases retrieved during the excursions throughout the season ($1-6 million). The left hand side of the board were cases going from $.01 to $1,000, so short of a really unlucky run, the game was set up for the final contestant to win seven figures.

My reactive thought was a three-round game with each round dedicated to either music, movies, or TV and played by one member of each team.
