Reading the announcement, I can't speak to anything on the development of the reboot; that sort of statement happens all the time.  However, on the board game side, this is the same Dan Rowen that was attached to Playroom / Ultra Pro Entertainment.  So the board game property is very likely not vapor, and this format is very, very much in Dan's development space.

Love it! Back when Buzzr aired the reruns, I always laughed when they plugged the board game for the only place you could find a copy of it in 2023 was eBay. Happy to read that will no longer be the case.

Not the case.  There were nine shows taped for Jackpot January (and then later relabeled "Jackpot Special" when they didn't get scheduled in January), and three other ones done separately that were scheduled for February (Valentine's Day, Super Bowl, and this one).
