Rochester, New York might seem an odd place for our genre to be preserved, but on the other hand, it sounds like the facility itself couldn't be more perfect.
A lot of familiar names are working on this. Many are named in the press release. Others (notably Adam Nedeff) are not, but play key roles.

I am profoundly disappointed that I live so far away from such a thing.
-
I went there a couple of years back- it's a really nice place (and they were in the middle of renovations that will make it nicer)- If you're a fan of old school arcade and pinball games, they have a ton of them you can play with tokens.

Well, I guess I have a destination for a summer road trip! This is fantastic. Congratulations, Adam, Bob, and all!
-
3 3/4 hours away. Sounds like I could make a day out of it (and maybe some baseball on the side). Thanks to all involved!

My job allows me to travel; last fall I was in Syracuse. If I ever get back to upstate NY, I'll definitely make the drive to see this!
-
Cannot wait for the grand opening. Will be there with camera crew in tow! (Which these days in local tv...is just me.)

Seems like game shows are one of the only areas of gaming that the Strong hasn't really delved into yet. With people like Bob Boden on board, it can't help but be great. I smell some vacation plans in the offing.

They also have the Toy and Game Hall of Fame there as well. I've been meaning to make a trip up there. It's about five hours from NYC by car or bus. I will definitely go to see this.

You mean the hometown of Julie Cialini of "The New Price Is Right?"
Makes sense now, doesn't it?

ObRochester: "Kodak" was occasionally used as the "K" word on Alphabetics/The end game
(and screwed up by Gary Collins (https://youtu.be/8FRTYpeNj48?t=983))

We'll be in that general vicinity next Monday (touring Syracuse University with my son), but 1) I don't think they'll be open by then, and 2) our itinerary is pretty tight (five college tours in four days), and it cannot be changed. This is another reason I'll be rooting for Danny to go to an East Coast school.

Rochester's not that far from me...I definitely think it's worth the trip when it's open!
-
Only about a 3 hour drive from Toronto! I'll definitely be making the trip when the border reopens.
-
Make that a trifecta of Toronto-area game show fans :)

I took my twins there when they were about 10. I think I had a better time than they did.

We’ve been talking about taking a trip to Niagara Falls one of these days. So maybe I can persuade the fam to spend a day in Rochester. It’s what, about 90 minutes from Niagara?
-
I can’t tell from this release when it’s set to open. Am I missing something?

Not from the story, it doesn't say. But word is that we're talking at least a year.

That sounds about right. Maybe 2 hours depending on traffic.

Well, that makes it easier to pitch a road trip to my travel-resistant spouse. ;) Thanks.

That's good news. Danny really liked Syracuse, so perhaps we'll be there frequently.
