Other than the volume of the timer, not much has been said about the Million Dollar Password home game. So let me toss these out.
1. On the box, Regis looks like he's ready to kick someone's ass.
2. The passwords are really, really hard. The writing seems to be where Endless skimped. The front game, $10,000 and $25K sets are unbelievable--we never got past those. Words like "impair." Too many compound words, like "crossbow," where you'd get half then be flummoxed. And if they were easy, they were really easy--downhill and downbeat in the same round.
3. The giver sees all the words in a round at once, which presents a wrinkle--should the rule be try the passwords in listed order, or skip to whichever you want? We were doing so poorly, we skipped around. But I felt guilty.

We'll simply peek the first word into the viewer, announce when we have seen it, and start the clock. If we make past the fifth word, we can go back to any passed word.
Same also works for the elimination round. Put the card behind the bottom part of a viewer, and slide the viewer down when you get it right, pass it or run out of the clues.
Obviously, part of the fun of this version of Password is not knowing what word will come next and planning your strategy accordingly. Maybe these remedies can help you out and make your game more fun.

How true. It's such a bummer--the thing I like most about this Password is that the focus is back on good challenging words. But that takes craftsmanship.
