Title: 21st Century Mount Rushmore -- Hosts/Shows...
Post by: TimK2003 on December 30, 2022, 02:32:47 PM
Not too long ago, the discussions came up of the Mount Rushmore of Game Show hosts and shows...most, if not all of the selections had their debuts prior to 2000.

As we inch closer to a quarter-century into the 21st Century, if you were to give a list of the top 4 Game shows SINCE 2000, what would be your choices?

And while we are at it, Which 4 modern-day hosts would you place on the 21st century Mount Rushmore?

This list is a bit more challenging since there aren't too many hosts that did multiple successful shows.  As far as modern day shows that premiered SINCE 2000, the field is a bit broader.

A couple of 21st Century shows to start with, in no particular order:

-- Strahan Pyramid...Best post-2000 reboot.
-‐ Brady LMAD....Longest running show which premiered after 2000.

""Added'''
-- The Weakest Link....3  US Versions since 2001

Hosts:

Wayne Brady...see above
Meredith Viera,,,.two successful syndicated shows under her belt.
Steve Harvey

And go....

I'd have to think Howie Mandel and DoND would deserve spots.

Deal or No Deal gets a spot in my book as well. I wasn’t a big fan of the NBC version but I can’t argue with its success and it reviving the genre. While I have my favorites, I’m basing my list on enduring success and how they’ve become “icons” of sorts in an era where we’re bombarded with content.

Other spots: LMAD09, 100K Pyramid, Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader

Hosts/hostesses: Meredith, Howie, Drew Carey, Wayne Brady
