Jeeeez, This guy can't get a break. In this latest interview just done this month Rod explains what's been going with him. Hit the link on top to see it.
If Rod is still around after all this, it's proof that the man is made of steel with some kind of super human powers. Get Well Rod.... We Miss You!

The link was actually posted in the barker mural thread.
But he is tough as nails

Wow. With all of that happening in a streak like that I would have a hard time having a positive attitude. He's doing something truly incredible. Makes me think about some stuff I ought to do myself...
-
I'm very sorry that Rod had more problems, but I'm very happy to hear that he has a positive attitude about it. I hear that's one of the biggest things that can make or break a cancer patient.
Get well soon, Rod!
-
Wow... All that stuff, and is still alive to tell about it...
Glad to hear that Rod is feeling better...

Randy might be able to help us here.
Randy, is there a way you know of that we could email Rod our support, encouragement, admiration, etc.?

There is a section devoted to such messages on www.golden-road.net that I am told Rod reads. I think that's probably the best way to go.

Thank you, sir. I don't think they will mind if I provide a direct link. (At least, I hope not...)

If you provide it? :-p

Breast cancer has hit my wife's family pretty hard. My wife, her sister, and their father all have/had it. Therefore, I can echo Rod's sentiments: get a mammogram, get a checkup, learn the self-testing.
Rod said about 1500 men a year are diagnosed with breast cancer (versus about 182,000 women, as per www.thebreastcancersite.com), so it's more common than you may think.

So that people can just click and go straight to the appropriate forum from this thread instead of going to the Golden Road pages and having to dig around to find it? Yeah. I'm not suggesting that I'm providing the service at all, in fact, I appreciate the fact that they're doing it.
(which is not to say I don't recommend poking around the Golden Road pages, they look to be well worth the time...)

I deleted the post about Dorothy Jo Barker as it was in generally bad taste.

I apologize for that comment, which actually was taken out of context. What I really meant was that it was a terrible shame that Dorothy Jo had to die instead of recovering after many more bouts of cancer like Rod Roddy. Not that I want anything to happen to Rod-- actually it's great that he has recovered from three bouts of cancer, and I hated to hear that Dorothy Jo died after only one. ;-(
Nevertheless, I believe that my earlier post merited an apology anyway, so I will do so once again. Last but not least, I hope and pray that Rod Roddy will get well soon! :-)

Thank you, Chris, and thank you for apologizing, Kent.
