The Big Board / Re: Renewal Status On The Syndies For Fall?

Unsure on when Pictionary is taping. It's the only of the three that didn't move to Atlanta.

I just saw an ad on Instagram casting for Pictionary that they're taping in Atlanta in July-August.
Here's the casting notice: https://westcasting2023.formstack.com/forms/pictionary

The other Fremantle game show streaming channels will have fresh (or at least new to that particular channel) for a few weeks starting May 28th in honor of National Game Show Day as well. Family Feud Classic will have fresh episodes at noon Eastern (that have already aired on Buzzr), Supermarket Sweep will have fresh episodes at 4PM (again, that have already aired on Buzzr), Let's Make a Deal will have fresh episodes at 6PM and The Price is Right with Drew Carey will have fresh episodes at 8PM.

Squares aired original syndicated episodes months after both Wally Cox and Cliff Arquette passed away.  And let’s not forget we have an entire channel dedicated to effectively Dead Emcees Society.

I recall reading that syndicated WML? episodes with Bennett Cerf continued to air in first run after his death, despite some protests from viewers who considered that to be in poor taste.

My thinking is as long as the Family Feud writers avoid topical subject matter in questions (which could be affected by subsequent news events), they'll probably be fine. Fortunately for them, euphemisms have no expiry date.

Didn't Charlie O have a couple weeks of Wof after he passed?
That's...a bit complicated. Episodes originally aired before his death were reshown in the weekend feed (both in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons) and during Summer 2011, but there were another eight weeks he'd announced which were scheduled to air at various points between November 2010 and March 2011; the episodes aired, but with Charlie dubbed over by the various guest/tryout announcers.

The show explained that it was "a tough decision, but it would have been too sad to hear Charlie's voice so close to his death".

Maybe it's because the names used in the '80s could be rather arcane (Rona Barrett leaps to mind)...

Since I'm in the middle of (re-)watching the series on Hulu: Rona Barrett was well-known enough to carry a clip-show episode of "Moonlighting" as herself (interviewing the characters).

There was also this portion of High Rollers where they only had the SFX and music:

Reviewed my copy from another affiliate. It was fine.

And yes, stuff absolutely does get sent out wrong from time to time. The affiliate I'm at had to take a refeed a while back because they forgot captioning in the majority of the first feed of Entertainment Tonight. At least one station group with centralized master control accidentally ran one segment twice a while back on every affiliate at that hub. Countless examples of a station group getting confused and running "tomorrow's" episode a day in advance. I still recall the example from Drew's TPiR relatively recently that Steve mentioned.  And things get segmented wrong all the time, especially as station groups continue to reduce or eliminate staffing and the remaining employees (who are often doing other jobs alongside master control and ingest, themselves once separate jobs) are paid less and less so the positions attract less and less skilled employees.

tl;dr: Stuff happens.
