Judging from the little tinker at the bottom of the screen during the 9:30am Blockbusters this morning, its good ol' Allen's face...

...that may be a sign of things to come in a few minutes.

Back to the beginning with Elizabeth Montgomery and Robert Foxworth.  The first female contestant looked like a lady who had been on Blockbusters the other day.

Now I'm curious where they were in the run before it was pulled of weekends several years ago.

I know they aired Ludden's return after Cullen hosted.

Didn't they get close to airing the Kennedy episodes before it was pulled?

Haven't some of the Ludden episodes not yet aired on GSN?

They were in the week of 9/8-9/12/80 (with Marcia Wallace and Robert Donner) when it got pulled from the weekend run (strangely enough, I was the one who posted about it in Usenet, but I had to go back to Usenet to look it up).  That was about six weeks from the end of Ludden's run (the last Ludden ep did air as a part of the "Breakfast With The Stars" special).

Good to see Ludden back. I still don't like the early rules of P+, like the rule that says that once Team A gets the clue and makes a wrong guess at the puzzle, Team B has the option to play or pass the next word. Makes for a lot of backward strategy.

But no one knew any better at the time.

I believe there will be for at least a day or two. Leland was on the second week of the show, with Tony Randall and Mary Jane.

Next week on SP(starting 2/7 and continuing weekdays through 2/13) will be the first of the two infamous Tournament of Losers weeks held in 1986(airdates 2/10/86-2/14/86)
