Sorry dude, I think you're on your own on this one.

Actually not.

'Twas the $100,000 Pyramid. When describing the Mystery 7 prize, he said something to the effect of, "If you get 7 out of 7, you will win a knew nineteen fifty-eight Chevrolet Chevette."

When questioned by the male celebrity (whose identity I can't recall at this point) and people backstage started yelling "'85!" at him, he asks, "What did I say?"

When told, he takes a couple steps back, embarrassed, and says that he's so used to talking about a '58 Chevy, it just came out like that.

So that's one on the plus side for Adam. One.

Note: It's been a while since the last time I saw this. It may have been '68 and '86, but it definitely happened; I've seen it with my own two eyes---multiple times. (And I think it actually was on one of the NBC specials.)

dzinkin:
Adam: now that we have verification from a reliable source, I retract my accusation that you did not know what was going on.

However, my advice to you -- not to believe everything you see or hear -- still stands.

Fair enoguh. Mea culpa. I'm sorry, Adam.

Sorry, Adam.
