[quote name=\'Jay Temple\' date=\'Aug 31 2004, 12:07 AM\'] Here's one that no one ever mentions, probably because it's not neatly summed up in a few words.  On a Monday on The $100,000 Pyramid, Dick Clark turned to Terry Lester and explained why Keif Farrendini, the defending champion, wasn't there.  (She and Mr. Lester knew each other.)  He then returned to the other team, who played their turn--without introducing Terry's partner.  (On the Golden Pyramid Awards marathon from March 2002, this was one of the three nominees for Best Brain Freeze.) Speaking of Pyramid, a favorite of mine, was from I believe the $100,000 version, where Dick mentions that the mystery 7 prize is a 1958 Chevy Chevette I think it was. Classic moment.

Let's try this one more time. From our friends at Dictionary.com:

Blooper (bloo-per) n. A clumsy mistake, especially one made in public; a faux pas.

Do you REALLY think Dick slipped up when he read that card?

"Oh my GOD! I could have SWORN it said "1958 Chevy Chevette" here! How embarrassing! I'll have to run this on my NBC show with Ed this week! Ha Ha!"

adamjk:
Yes I do think he did.

Adam, how many times do you need to be told not to believe everything you see and hear?

adamjk:
Oh come on. He would never do something like that on purpose, and before you ask, yes I have seen the clip.
