Even with all the  content that's surfaced over the years, it's only human to hope for more.
What series are you still holding out for to pop up, whether it be because none at all are circulating or you'd like to see more? My top 3:

Temptation - Sure, a basic bidding game of chicken, but I enjoy Art's somewhat devilish persona

Spin-Off - It was supposedly found with CBS TJW, yet nothing more than highlight reel has surfaced

PDQ - some years ago, Dave Schwartz confirmed to me that its entirety was still around in the Four Star vault, would love to see more than the pilot

You read my mind!  After the recent uncovering of a rare Musical Chairs and Big Showdown episode, I was thinking about statlrting a similar thread -- "If I could find 5 more episodes of a rare game show".

Little did I know then that three shows off of my very first tape trade are still pretty much limited to 1-5 episodes in the wild three decades letter.

On my list:

1) The Who What & Where Game
2) The Big Showdown
3) ABC Split Second
4) Rhyme & Reason

I loved the old, more intelligent daytime quizzers.  While R&R is not, I'd still like to see a little more of that show's gameplay.

Would love to simply see a 10K win on Big Showdown. Other than that I’d like to see more obscurities that have zero episodes on the circuit. Shows like Pro Fan.

I'd love to see an episode of Word for Word someday. According to a post I read on here a long time ago, it may have been the first show ever to have an intro that zoomed in through one of the letters. :)

  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

Celebrity Sweepstakes; whose syndicated masters are apparently still alive and well.

From more modern times, I'd like to see more Goen and Rolf WoF.

SuperMatch, I do believe the O in "For" was indeed the opening portal. Even still remember the show's theme.
My dream list covers 50s-60s shows - one episode each would be fine:

For Love or Money
Your Surprise Package (faint memory traces)
Double Exposure (same - remember the flashing device with the 12 lights)
Top Dollar
Jan Murray Charge Account
Make A Face
Window Shopping (added edit)
Across The Board (added edit)

Interesting topic!

I've been kind of on a binge of 70s The Joker's Wild lately, so I'd like to see more of those come up (especially the CBS episodes that were not shown on GSN).

Others I'd like:
Face the Music
Fandango (though at least according to Bill Anderson's webpage, the tapes were all damaged)
ABC Password
Tom Kennedy's Split Second
The Big Showdown

High Rollers 74-76 , especially with the face-lifters format. That's my holy grail.
Split Second
Big Showdown
Showoffs    (looks like any mid 70s show)
Fun Factory

Here's one prob not on anyones list : Lohman and Barkley's Namedroppers. Really enjoy the one ep out there.

I'm very, very loudly in the camp of wishing folks would appreciate more what's already out there, but if we're going to do this.

As there are precisely zero episodes of it (at least on video), Snap Judgment with Ed McMahon is always going to be my number one. As a fan of his, I really want to see Ed McMahon here.  Also, Johnny did two episodes of the show (with Paul Anka doing M-W) and if one of THOSE two turned up that would be incredible...there's some other celebrity bookings it'd be fascinating to see as well. (George Carlin's week for example)

Press me on 2-5 and it's ABC Password (ESPECIALLY the Monty Hall-hosted episodes), the Tom Kennedy years of Name That Tune and Split Second, and the 1970s version of The Cross-Wits with Jack Clark.

I, myself should add.....

Any Randy Merriman-hosted installments of The Big Payoff
The Big Surprise with the "Easy/Hard Questions" concept.
Dream Girl of '67
Funny Boners
(Wonder how "Webster Webfoot" could handle GS-hosting.....)
Window Shopping

And having already viewed at least one or two episodes of the following.....

Call My Bluff starring the underrated Bill Leyden
Another Don Morrow-hosted episode of Camouflage (I'd settle for Johnny Gilbert, as well)
Music Bingo
Video Village
What's This Song?

I agree with Chelsea, though. We must be lucky we got to see what's out there at all.

Cordially,
Tammy
In Very Loving Memory: Winston Conrad Martindale (1933-2025)

Absolutely. I despise that the definition of "lost media" has become "something I cannot see right now on the format of my choosing."

Would I love to see the early years of Sale of the Century from 83-87 in bigger chunks than what is extant? Hell yeah. Would I love to see the scandal ridden shows or the ones like BFG mentioned where the only evidence it exists is a snapshot of Ken Norton missing a put on Pro Fan? Absolutely. There's loads I would like to see. I'd love to see Super Jeopardy without a watermark, but the entire tournament is on Youtube so I will happily set aside my displeasure and enjoy the artifact.
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

Co-sign on ABC "Password", Kennedy "Split Second", and especially "Cross-Wits" (in CW's case, the tapes apparently *do* exist....they've just been sitting there doing nothing).

/but that can be said for almost anything Ralph Edwards did
//*especially* TorC....and that might be a good answer for this thread as well

While I agree with the whole being grateful business, let's be clear: one can be grateful for the plethora of what's now available while still ruminating, for fun, over what the kid in them still hopes and dreams will pop up next. I'm sure everyone here will agree that if they don"t see what's still on their wish list, c'est la vie, it's still been a ton of fun. Please don't take too far the notion of ungratefulness factoring into the question.

Re: Cross-wits: Jack Clark's version is for sure still around? I was under the impression that the tapes were missing, like Bill's Pyramid.
