I was bummed out about Big Showdown and The Moneymaze getting cancelled, but I looked forward to the new game shows. I made my first of several trips out to L.A. that year. Got to see Showoffs and Rhyme and Reason in person. IIRC they were both done in the same studio as Family Feud. I remember Pat Harrington, Jaye P. Morgan and Adrienne Barbeau being on R&R along with Nipsey. Some of the antics didn't make it on the air. Mostly salty language but it was a fun time.

Neumms:
Didn’t R&R use a clown horn to bleep out dirty words? I remember Jaye P. flapping her arm in time with it, which made this dim 8-year-old think she was making the sound herself.

Yes. That was done in post production. You didn't hear the horn in the studio, but I remember Jaye P. saying a few things that got the horn when it aired.
