DoItRockapella:
Yes, all three of them.

As the linked article states, this is only going to make the battle between Sony and CBS even more heated, certainly considering Paramount+ is not included.

clemon79:
D+ and Hulu are roughly equivalent, considering if you have any of D+, Hulu, or ESPN+, you can just install the D+ client on whatever device to access all three services.

Peacock is interesting, and I can only assume was included because it has pretty massive reach as a result of being tied to Comcast. (I don't think it's free with cable plans anymore, but for many it's at least significantly discounted.) Paramount+ doesn't really even equate to a pimple on the ass of the streaming market, considering they have to keep spinning off their flagship show to own the rights to their own content.

steveleb:
Considering these services also offer many local stations that license the shows, it's also easier to measure and aggregate their total platform audience for the purposes of aggregating barter ratings.  Nielsen is finally making changes to its measurement methodologies that will allow more inclusivity from streaming platforms come the fall.  The Paramount+ omission, as I believe has been noted elsewhere, is pretty much a finger in the eye connected to ongoing litigation.  I have been told if and when it is settled--probably when the company is finally under Skydance control--a deal will probably be struck with them, too, mostly for the reason refeence above.

While it is likely the litigation, Paramount+ is also probably the least number of extra eyeballs if Nielsen is anything to go by.

It's still funny to me that for all the talk of cord-cutting, a plurality of viewers still watch traditional TV, and if you're like me and consider YouTube TV to be effectively another cable provider, it's still an outright majority.

jage:
It would not surprise me to head toward a situation where most local shows are available on demand complete with local commercials and such. We're already there in some instances. It's hard for me to pick up the local channel for J! due to my antenna so I'll be happy to be able to watch again without "borrowing" the latest episode.
