Counterpoint (and I meant to bring this up when it happened two or three weeks ago): NPR did a long, gushing piece about Goggins a few weeks ago, focusing on how he was having a moment. In other words the whole point of the piece was to mention all the different things Goggins was in recently, and they had plenty of time to tell the story. They did not mention this movie once.

It's kind of sad that this very interesting story was mostly wasted on this movie. Oh well.
Bob Zager:
It looks pretty much as though the movie is no longer playing in theaters (or very few) now! The next couple of weeks will have, on May 2, the digital release of an "Official" soundtrack album digitally, followed later by a vinyl record (as shown here: https://www.stonesthrow.com/news/john-carroll-kirby-the-luckiest-man-in-america-ost/).
On May 6, it will begin showing on VOD and video platforms.
Matt Ottinger:
You know what? While this specific movie will be unknown to the vast majority of the SNL viewing audience tonight, the writers do love them their game shows, and I think there's a greater than zero chance that they cast Goggins as a host in one, maybe even something resembling Press Your Luck.
