Game show takes: Hot or Not? (The survey)

<< < (2/2)

JasonA1:
We got another couple dozen yesterday! I'd love to make 100 responses our stopping point if we can; or after a couple more days, whichever comes first.

If you're reading this, let your voice be heard!

THE RESULTS

We had 84 responses in all. Thanks to everyone who participated!

I think it's fair to say our "hot takes" didn't exactly fall in line with the vernacular -- that is, they weren't shared to be needlessly provocative. These were just opinions some of you felt were...unpopular? Either way, I think we can deem the "hottest" of these takes to be the ones the greatest percentage of people DISAGREED with, as that's what traditionally happens with them.

The figures you see relate to the number of people who chose "agree" or "disgaree" for that particular question -- "can't answer" is not factored in. But I'll note the number of abstentions as we go, for completeness.

The takes:

Drew Carey should stop doing the "spayed and neutered" sign-off
67.1% AGREE (with 8 abstentions)

The '80s version of "The Newlywed Game" is better than the '60s/'70s versions
55.2% DISAGREE (with 26 abstentions)

"Super Password" is better than "Password Plus"
58.6% AGREE (with 9 abstentions)

62.7% AGREE (with 1 abstention)

"3's a Crowd" is entertaining
75.3% DISAGREE (with 11 abstentions)

I was never a fan of "Bullseye" (the Barry & Enright show)
54.2% DISAGREE (with 12 abstentions)

75.6% DISAGREE (with 2 abstentions)

Ryan Seacrest has made "Wheel of Fortune" more enjoyable
69.5% AGREE (with 25 abstentions)

The best version of "Card Sharks" is the Jim Perry version
71.4% AGREE (with 7 abstentions)
