Interesting, because there were some American contestants on these shows, as a handful of contestants were talking about where they were from. Maybe there were so few of them it didn't matter.
Taffner did auditions in Seattle and paid to bus in Talkabout contestants when our stations joined the lineup in season two. Our contention was with that title our viewers might accept an oooo from the host but not from practically every contestant.
As it turned out we overthought it.
I will add that the Martin Short Match Game sure seems like it did its best to avoid folks who love All Dressed Chips—or at least sound like they do
