A new way to play BUMP
whewfan:
I thought of a hopefully fun, new way to play BUMP... it's a car game.
I never got why the vehicles in the original Bump were double decker buses... in my new version, they're BUMPER CARS, which are SUPPOSED to be bumped!!
The gameboard has some sort of carnival motif. There are 4 bumper cars in a row, all the same color each with a number on it. Let's say the 4 numbers are 2861. There are also two other cars with a number, each a different color on either side of the 4 numbers. Let's say we have a yellow car on the left with a 2 and a green car to the right with a 3.
The contestant can either take the yellow 2 car and BUMP the cars to the right, making the price of the car $22861... OR... they can take the green 3 car, bump it to the left, and make the price of the car $28,613. Just as in the original bump, the extra car bumps into a large hole at the end.
I'm not sure about the price reveal, but it should be something fun. Maybe the carnival motif could have a rotating ferris wheel and carousel horses that go up and down to signify a win, much in the same way items on the Professor Price gameboard moved to show a win.

So it’s a coin flip to win a car?

Given the original signage closely resembled the UK flag, I think you have your answer as to why double-decker buses were used. As for your game proposal...
Double Prices for a car, with a motif that looks like a clown threw up. Pass.

i might argue that the set design was the only thing I enjoyed about Joker.
I think it would work with four digit prices but they already have plenty enough games for that.

There's too much going on for a win compared to the act of playing the game. Plus you already have something like this in Gridlock, which is essentially Money Game meets Bump.
