Looking at the photos - why is there plexiglass with what looks like cheap locks on them, in front of each star?
And, I see radio announcer microphones in front of Julie Bowen and RuPaul...I'll infer that the stars are playing house announcer?

Are you sure it's not behind them? (It's hard for me to tell)

Looking at the Tyra Banks picture, it's definitely behind them.

Here’s picking a nit: I’m bugged by the X being a text X with horizontal tips. The wildly unsuccessful Patrick Wayne Tic Tac Dough had them, too, which isn’t a good omen. (Then again, the strikes on Harvey Feud are the same.)

It's behind them, and they aren't locks, it's just the kind of hardware you use to attach acrylic (or hardened glass or whatever) panels to a metal frame. Look next time you're at the mall. I believe you drill holes in the material and they screw in. Here, like this:
