BUZZR Q1 2024

(1/6) > >>

MikeK:
New year, new thread.

Starting January 13, 2024, BUZZR will be airing episodes of (presumably just The All New) Let's Make a Deal, in honor of the show's 60th birthday.  The online promo shows just All New episodes.

SRIV94:
And on 1/15/24, new-to-BUZZR CLASSIC CONCENTRATIONs emerge (we'll get into 1991).  But the same way they did it before--three new eps on Monday (12/27,28,31/90), Tuesday (1/2-4/91) and Wednesday (1/7-9/91), one on Thursday (1/10/91).  Only that week has cleared, so we'll see how far into 1991 they go.

Exclusively the 80s run for now. These shows (starting with show 88) ran eons ago when the network launched, but haven't been part of the rotation since the earliest days of Buzzr's existence. If this lasts into early February, we'll get the week of shows with Geoff Edwards hosting (shows 130-134).

The change is part of a broader schedule change taking effect this Saturday:

Weekdays: 11a ET: Perry CS from '79 swaps in for Eubanks for the hour. (edit: Eubanks was quickly restored at 11a, with Perry remaining at 11:30)

Weekdays: 12p: Press Your Luck (1985) returns to weekdays (after being weekends only briefly), in place of Match Game 79

7 days per week:
Split Second w/ Monty Hall runs for an hour on the schedule at 1pm (starting from the show numbered 1 for the US market, which was the 19th show produced overall). They made it through about 80 episodes when the show was on the network previously.  This replaces Tattletales on weekdays and Temptation (2007) on weekends.

An hour of 80s Let's Make a Deal (starting with show #88, see above) takes over at 2pm and on weekdays only these episodes also take over for the existing 11pm time period. Replaces Password Plus on weekdays and Sale of the Century on weekends.

Additionally, Tattletales goes in 7 days per week at 9PM replacing an hour of Newlywed Game.

Lastly, Weekends Only: Password Plus from 1981 for an hour from 7PM-8PM (replacing the aforementioned Tattletales)

Chelsea Thrasher:
In addition to Buzzr having already largely reverted to Eubanks CS on weekday mornings as of a couple weeks ago, starting this weekend, Temptation '07 and Sale from '88 return to their previous weekend slots. Split Second and 80s LMaD continue on weekdays, with Geoff Edwards' five episodes (130-134) airing the full hour on 2/5 and 2/6 and the first of the two shows on 2/7.

Weekend primetime in February (7pm-Midnight ET) will be marathons themed around Black History Month. I am not even about to try to list out data for every episode here. When B&W shows air in clusters of three they'll air in 40 minute slots; by themselves in 30 minute slots.:
2/3 is three episodes of Narz-era Beat the Clock (476-478), three episodes of Monty Hall era BTC with Roxie Roker as one of the celebs (39-41), plus an ep of TTTT from '65 and two eps of Steve Allen CBS IGAS.
2/4 has an episode of nighttime Password from 1963, two episodes of the syndicated WML, an episode of Tattletales from '75, a Dawson Feud from '79, and a week of shows from the Combs syndicated Feud from '89.
2/10 has two additional syndie WMLs from 1970/74, a TTTT '80 episode with Rosa Parks, a 1990 episode, two 1976 Tattletales eps, a WML from 1958, another Password from '63, and a TTTT from '60
2/11 has an entire week of Tattletales from 1983, four Super Password episodes from 1988, and a Password Plus from '79
2/17 has two syndie WML (1969/1972), a CBS show from 1956, followed by Lynn Swann's last seven episodes of TTTT 90 (104-110)
2/18 has a week of celeb specials from the nighttime Dawson run in '85 followed by a week of Tattletales from '75
(no schedule data yet for the final weekend, 2/24 and 2/25)

Kroeger-era Newlywed takes over primetime for three hours the week of 2/12 for Valentine's Day.

Additionally and exclusive on their Youtube channel, they will be posting one episode per day from a 1993 football celebrity special of Combs Feud (nighttime) this coming week.

Can someone with access to the details tell me which two these are?  Buzzr has occasionally aired some shows that GSN has skipped, and I don't want to miss anything.
